Petzel Gallery is pleased to present never-before-seen works by artists long integral to the gallery’s program alongside works by artists who have recently joined the gallery’s roster. New works will be made available each day during the VIP preview so we encourage visitors to check in daily to review updated selections.
Featured in Petzel’s online viewing room will be works by Walead Beshty, Ross Bleckner, Cosima von Bonin, Simon Denny, Thomas Eggerer, Derek Fordjour, Wade Guyton, Stefanie Heinze, Georg Herold, Charline von Heyl, Sean Landers, Maria Lassnig, Allan McCollum, Adam McEwen, Rodney McMillian, Sarah Morris, Jorge Pardo, Joyce Pensato, Seth Price, Jon Pylpychuk, Pieter Schoolwerth, Dana Schutz, Hiroki Tsukuda, and Heimo Zobernig.
Brooklyn-based painter Pieter Schoolwerth will show a new painting, produced in his expanded practice, which incorporates layers of photography, image processing, inkjet printing and relief sculpture. Stefanie Heinze, another recent addition to the gallery’s program, will show one of her signature playful abstractions. Other highlights include all new large-scale gouaches by Dana Schutz, as well as a newly cast bronze sculpture; a flamboyant, layered lightbox painting from Jorge Pardo; a newly completed painting by Derek Fordjour will also be included in the online viewing room; as well as seminal caviar paintings by the master of the minimal and absurd, Georg Herold; a bedsheet painting by Rodney McMillian; and an oil on linen floral scene rendered in delicate and dark hues by Ross Bleckner; in addition to new works by painter and filmmaker Sarah Morris; New York-based artist Wade Guyton; and Berlin-based New Zealander Simon Denny.
