Heimo Zobernig

Description

In 2016, Heimo Zobernig was commissioned by the LUMA Foundation to create a new café for the LUMA Westbau in the Löwenbräu arts complex in Zurich. Zobernig’s schwarzescafé is a multi-functional, architectural intervention, which is used for hospitality, movie screenings, and lectures, as a display space for exhibitions, and as a reading room hosting Kunsthalle Zürich’s library. This publication documents Zobernig’s work, the interventions by artists using his display, and the group exhibition “Home”, which presented modes of representation of interior space.

Foreword by Maja Hoffmann and texts by Valentina Ehnimb, Frances Stark, Peter Wächtler, Mark Wigley and Heimo Zobernig
Including the exhibition HOME with Morag Keil, Karen Kilimnik, Georgie Nettell, Sam Pulitzer, Emily Sundblad, Frances Stark and Phillip Zach
Contributions by Florian Hecker, Yuji Nagai, Albert Oehlen and Jan Vorisek
