FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Opening reception: Friday, October 12, 6-8 pm

Friedrich Petzel Gallery is pleased to announce its fourth solo exhibition of work by Jorge Pardo.

The exhibition will be comprised of fifteen monochromatic, geometric forms housing "pinhole cameras". Each sculpture will take a black and white photograph of another, and the resulting photographs will be compiled into a book.

This is Pardo's second group of pinhole cameras; the first examples, which were made in 1987, included objects such as a styrofoam cup and a wooden owl.

The opening reception is on Friday, October 12 from 6-8 p.m., and the exhibition will be on view from October 13 through November 10, 2001. For further information, please contact the gallery at info@petzel.com, or call (212) 680-9467.
